Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Beef Bites

Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Beef Bites are tender, pull-apart beef simmered in a savory soy-Worcestershire garlic butter sauce. Cook low for hours so the meat turns soft and shreddable, then finish with melted butter for a glossy coating.

Ingredients

Beef
  • 2 lb beef stew meat or sirloin cut into 1.5-inch pieces
Garlic butter sauce
  • 6 tbsp butter divided; 4 tbsp sliced on top, remaining 2 tbsp to finish
  • 6 garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Dutch oven

Method

Slow-cook the beef
  1. Place the beef pieces into the slow cooker.
  2. Add beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Slice 4 tablespoons of butter and place it on top of the beef so it melts as the meat cooks.
  4. Cook on low for 4–5 hours, or high for 2–3 hours, until the beef is tender and pulls apart easily.
Finish and serve
  1. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until fully melted and the sauce looks glossy.
  2. Serve the beef bites over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For the richest sauce, avoid lifting the lid during cooking so the beef stays at a steady simmer. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freeze for up to 2 months. If you need a lower-sodium option, use low-sodium soy sauce and a reduced-salt approach while keeping the rest of the seasonings the same.
